Yuri's journey began in Alliance, Ohio, a place that would serve as the first of many homes throughout his life. He would later reside in Virginia, Tennessee, West Africa, Japan, and New York, before finally settling in Los Angeles, a city that would become his permanent residence.
As Yuri approached the end of his high school years, he discovered a passion for acting that would become a defining characteristic of his artistic persona. Since then, he has established himself as a dedicated and innovative artist, both on stage and screen, with an international reputation to match.
Before transitioning to the world of acting, Yuri made his mark in the realm of writing, producing, and starring in the independent short film "Faithful". In addition to his artistic pursuits, Yuri is a dedicated student of martial arts and is fluent in three languages: Japanese, French, and German.
Yuri's impressive range of talents has led to his becoming well-known for his work in voice-over roles for video games and animation. Some of his most notable roles include Superman in the animated series "Legion of Super Heroes" (2006),Sasuke in the popular anime series "Naruto" (2002),and the Prince in the "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" video-game series (2003).
In 2004, Yuri co-founded his own production company, Monkey Kingdom Productions, with his business partner Tara Platt.
