Ylian, a Cuban-born actress, spent her childhood years in New Jersey, Florida, and Delaware before settling in Vermont. After fifteen years of practicing architecture, she transitioned to acting and landed a small role as a reporter in A-Bo the Humonkey.
While based in Vermont, Ylian had the opportunity to pursue small roles in films shot in Boston and the surrounding areas. Her credits during this time include Shuttle, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, The Proposal, and The Family That Preys, a Tyler Perry film.
Upon returning to Florida, where she now resides permanently, Ylian assumed a variety of roles in film, commercials, and television. Her credits include Followed, Renee, Contagion, Good Deeds, The Investigator, Osiris, Dr. G: Medical Examiner, Discovery Channel's Shark Week in 2011, and Intrusive Behavior.
In 2016, Ylian took on the challenging role of Sophia, a battered wife, in the short film Twelve Past One. The film was accepted into several film festivals, winning Best Short Film and Honorable Mention for Best Actress.
In addition to her acting career, Ylian has also made the transition behind the camera, adding script supervision, assistant director, and other production credits to her industry resume. With her impressive list of accomplishments, whether as actress or producer, Ylian has proven her value and is in high demand for the coming film season.
