Yeena Sung was born and raised in the vibrant city of Seoul, South Korea, where her mother, a talented pianist, and her father, a renowned neurosurgeon, instilled in her a deep appreciation for the arts and a strong sense of discipline. Growing up in South Korea, Yeena spent her formative years surrounded by the rich cultural heritage of her homeland, but she also had the unique opportunity to spend part of her childhood in the charming state of Massachusetts, where she developed a new perspective and broadened her horizons.
As she entered adulthood, Yeena made the bold decision to relocate to the bustling city of New York, where she could further hone her craft as an actor and immerse herself in the thriving arts scene. She went on to graduate from the prestigious New York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting and later earned a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from Columbia University, cementing her status as a highly skilled and accomplished performer.
During her time in New York, Yeena quickly made a name for herself in the entertainment industry, appearing in a range of productions, including the critically acclaimed plays "Hi-Fi, Wi-Fi, Sci-Fi" and "Let's Play Dead Girl" (2016),as well as the films Clique Bait (2018) and several other projects. Her talent and dedication did not go unnoticed, and in 2017, she landed the lead role of Hyunny in the highly acclaimed film Happy Cleaners (2019),earning widespread recognition for her outstanding performance.
In 2020, Yeena's impressive resume continued to grow, as she was cast as Dylan Park in the popular TV series Younger (2015),which premiered in 2021. When she is not busy bringing characters to life on screen, Yeena can be found pursuing her passions outside of acting, including singing, playing the piano, cooking, traveling, and editing videos.
