Yasmein Ziyad, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, hails from a family of five siblings, with a passion for performing that dates back to her childhood. During her high school years, she showcased her talent by taking on the iconic role of Juliet in Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" and also landed the lead role in "That was One". With over eight years of professional acting experience, Yasmein has had the privilege of studying under the guidance of Atlanta's most esteemed instructors.
Throughout her career, Yasmein has been involved in a variety of independent productions, including "Harvest", "World Wide Deception", "A Rose Thru Cancer", and "N.V.". In 2009, she made her theatre debut in World Changers' "Christmas in Cambridge", and later co-starred in the hit stage play "The Eyes of The Storm" at the 14th Street Playhouse.
In 2012, Yasmein's talent was recognized with a nomination for Best Female Actress in the 48 Hour Film Festival for her outstanding performance in "The Chamber". To further hone her craft, Yasmein is currently studying under the direction of GregAlan Williams at Actors BreakThrough Studio, where she has developed expertise in Acting for Film and Television, Sitcom Workshop with Mary Lou Belli, On Camera Combat Basics with Gus Williams, and Script Analysis.
In addition to her formal training, Yasmein has also had the opportunity to train with Tarsha Smith, where she discovered the Ivana Chubbuck Technique, and Improv with Brent Brooks at Blank Stage Studios. In 2012, Yasmein took the initiative to write and star in her first production, "N.V.", solidifying her status as a talented and versatile actress.
