Winter, a native of Germany, has been deeply involved with music and sound for an impressive quarter of a century. His extensive career as an audio engineer has encompassed a wide range of disciplines, including location sound work and post-production, music recording and production in various genres, as well as teaching recording techniques at esteemed institutions such as San Francisco State, the California Recording Institute, and the Blue Bear School of Music. Additionally, he has taught "Intro to Audio Post" at the Pyramind Music & Media Production School in San Francisco.
As the Senior Sound Mixer at El Mundo Bueno Studio, Winter is responsible for working on a diverse range of production and post-production projects, including feature-length narrative films, documentaries, broadcast television, music videos, and commercials. His areas of expertise include dialog editing, ADR, Foley, sound design, scoring, and re-recording in 5.1.
As a music engineer and producer, Winter has recorded, mixed, mastered, and produced numerous releases across various genres, with a specialization in ethnic and World/Fusion styles and Rock/Pop.
Furthermore, Winter is also a skilled guitarist and songwriter with over 25 years of experience, and is the co-founder of Trance Jam Records, for which he has recorded six albums to date, including collaborations with Sharon Knight, Pandemonaeon, and Raven.
