Will, a talented individual, was born and raised in the vibrant city of London, United Kingdom. His academic pursuits led him to Stanford University, where he majestically earned a degree in Film and Media. In the year 2014, Will's remarkable micro-documentary, Taking Choice, garnered widespread recognition, as it won the esteemed Bloom Film Contest. This groundbreaking achievement showcased his keen ability to tackle complex and sensitive subjects, such as campus sexual assault, with empathy and conviction.
Following his triumphant win, Will embarked on a journey that would take him to the forefront of the film industry. He joined the ranks of New Horizons Pictures, Plan B, and The Salt Co., where he honed his skills and refined his craft. Moreover, he co-founded his own film production company, Magpie Factory, in collaboration with Wyatt Bunce. This partnership has yielded a plethora of remarkable short films, with Howay! starring the talented Dave Johns (I, Daniel Blake) being a notable standout. Magpie Factory's work has been met with critical acclaim, earning selections at prestigious film festivals such as Cannes, Austin, Hollyshorts, and Newcastle.
In addition to his work with Magpie Factory, Will also operates as a freelance director under the alias Indexthumb. This alter ego allows him to bring a unique, Queer perspective to his projects, working with a diverse range of clients including Tricky, Bad Breeding, Carly Lave, and Asterisk Collective.
