Biography

William, a native of south Arkansas, embarked on his acting journey at the tender age of eleven, when he first took to the stage in community theater. His exceptional talent and dedication soon caught the attention of the International Thespian Society, which honored him during his high school years. This prestigious recognition was merely the beginning of his illustrious career, as he went on to win the National Society of Arts and Letters Drama competition at the state level in his senior year, becoming the youngest participant ever to compete at the National Competition.

After graduating from Hendrix College in Arkansas, William further honed his craft at the Drama Studio London's American school in Berkeley, California. His time at the prestigious institution proved to be a pivotal moment in his development as an actor, as he was soon approached by prominent casting director Jackie Burch to audition for the role of Rocky in the feature film Mask, directed by the renowned Peter Bogdanovich.

Although he didn't land the role, Burch didn't forget about him, and shortly thereafter, William was cast as Laura Dern's love interest in her debut film, Smooth Talk. This early success was followed by his inclusion in the Columbia Pictures horror classic Fright Night, in which he played a pivotal role.

William's Broadway debut came soon after, when he replaced Matthew Broderick in the lead role of Eugene Jerome in Neil Simon's Biloxi Blues. He went on to reprise his roles as Charlie Brewster in the sequel to Fright Night and Eugene in the national tour of Simon's Broadway Bound, alongside the talented Nathan Lane.

As his career continued to flourish, William began to make a name for himself in television, landing the role of Herman Brooks on the Fox Network's Herman's Head, which ran for three years and anchored the network's Sunday night lineup alongside The Simpsons, In Living Color, and Married With Children. His extensive television credits, which include both series regular and guest work, are a testament to his enduring talent and dedication to his craft.

William's early life and career were marked by numerous awards and accolades, including his recognition by the International Thespian Society and his win at the National Society of Arts and Letters Drama competition. He has since gone on to establish himself as a respected and accomplished actor, with a wide range of credits in both film and television.
