Biography

William Remington Moses was born on November 17th, 1959, to actress Marian McCargo and businessman Richard Cantrell Moses Sr. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother later married Alphonzo E. Bell, Jr. in 1970, adopting William and his three brothers. Alphonzo went on to become a beloved congressman in California.

Growing up on a citrus farm in Ojai, California, William initially showed little interest in the entertainment industry. However, his fortunes changed when he met his brother Rick Moses' agent and landed a commercial for Sprite. This led to his first movie role in Choices (1981),followed by his breakout part as "Cole Gioberti" in the prime-time series Falcon Crest (1981),which he remained a part of for five seasons.

In addition to his work on Falcon Crest, William guest-starred in several other TV shows, including Fantasy Island (1977),The Love Boat (1977),Maxwell Ltd: Finder of Lost Loves Pilot (1984),Hotel (1983),and "Battle Of The Network Stars" (1983-1985),where he showcased his athletic skills and met actress Tracy Nelson, daughter of rock legend Ricky Nelson and Kristin Harmon. The couple tied the knot on romantic Catalina Island in July 1987.

Tragedy struck just a month after their wedding when Tracy was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease. The couple delayed starting a family, and their daughter, Remington Moses, was born on August 11, 1992, after Tracy's remission. However, the couple eventually divorced in 1997. William later married Sarah in 2002, with whom he had two daughters.

William will likely be remembered for his iconic roles in Falcon Crest (1981) and the Perry Mason Mysteries series (1989-1995). He comes from a talented family, with his brothers Rick Moses, Graham Moses, and Harry Morgan Moses all pursuing careers in the entertainment industry. His late mother, Marian McCargo, was a tennis star and actress before becoming a mother and stepmother to seven boys, and he also has three stepbrothers.
