As fate would have it, Pine's journey in the realm of cinematic storytelling began in 1935, when he assumed the role of head of publicity for the venerable Paramount Pictures. His impressive tenure was soon followed by an association with the esteemed Cecil B. DeMille production unit, where he honed his skills as an associate producer.
In 1940, Pine joined forces with his trusted partner, William C. Thomas, to form the Pine-Thomas Organization, a collaborative effort that would yield an astonishing 81 feature films for Paramount Pictures.
