William Allen Friedle, a renowned comedian, was born on August 11, 1976, in Hartford, Connecticut. He spent his formative years in Avon, Connecticut, where he attended Avon High School.
Friedle's impressive career in the entertainment industry is marked by his iconic portrayal of Eric Matthews, the lovable yet dim-witted older brother, in the ABC sitcom Boy Meets World, which aired from September 1993 to May 2000.
In addition to his live-action roles, Friedle has lent his voice to various animated characters, including Terry McGinnis in Batman Beyond (1999) and Ron Stoppable in the Disney Channel's hit animated series Kim Possible (2002).
In 2002, Friedle landed a starring role in the short-lived UPN series The Random Years, where he played Alex Barnes, one of the three roommates in college. Although the show was canceled after only two months, Friedle continued to pursue his passion for acting, joining the cast of the WB series Off Centre (2001). Unfortunately, the show was also canceled after a brief run.
Undeterred, Friedle tried his hand at another TV pilot, Jack's House (2003),but it never made it to the air. Despite these setbacks, Friedle remained committed to his craft, taking on voice-over roles in video games such as Kingdom Hearts II (2005) and Tony Hawk's American Wasteland (2005).
