Wendy has had a prolific career, performing in numerous productions across the United States. Her extensive list of credits includes appearances at esteemed institutions such as the Actor's Theatre of Louisville, Great Lakes Theater Festival, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Huntington Theatre, Asolo Theatre, Virginia Stage, Portland Stage, New Jersey Shakespeare Festival, River Arts Repertory, Indiana Repertory, Alliance Theatre, Playmaker's Repertory, and Denver Center Theatre Company, to name a few.
Throughout her career, Wendy has had the privilege of working with renowned playwrights, including J.P. Donleavy, Derek Walcott, and Sasha Galin, among others. She has also collaborated with emerging writers, helping to develop their latest projects. Her work in play development has taken her to various organizations, such as Women's Project, W.P.A., New York Stage and Film, Voice and Vision, New Dramatists, and Primary Stages.
Wendy's Broadway credits include performances alongside Paul Newman in "Our Town" and in the Tony Award-winning "All My Sons". One of her most notable roles was as Amanda Wingfield in "The Glass Menagerie" at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, directed by Robert Cuccioli. Her performance as Amanda received widespread critical acclaim, with Variety critic Robert Daniels praising her as "one of the finest Amanda Wingfields in memory" and noting that she could hold her own alongside legendary actresses such as Helen Hayes, Jessica Tandy, Julie Harris, and Maureen Stapleton.
Wendy's family has a rich history in the performing arts. Her great-great Aunt Elisabeth Risdon and Uncle Brandon Evans were both members of the Theatre Guild, working alongside prominent theatre figures like Alfred Lunt and Lyn Fontanne, Helen Hayes, and J.B. Shaw. Elisabeth later moved to Hollywood, where she appeared in over 100 films.
