Wendie Malick, a talented actress, was born in Buffalo, New York, in 1950. She attended Ohio Wesleyan University, graduating in 1972. Standing at 5 feet 10 inches, Malick began her career as a Wilhelmina model in the 1970s, later giving it up to pursue a career in politics, working for Congressman Jack Kemp in Washington, D.C.

However, she soon left politics behind to pursue her true passion for acting, making her stage debut in the theater. Her breakthrough role came in the early 1990s as Judith Tupper Stone on the HBO comedy series Dream On, for which she won four CableACE Awards as Best Actress in a Comedy Series.
