Born in the charming town of Mamaroneck, New York, Wayne Powers has embarked on a remarkable career spanning multiple entertainment platforms, including television, radio, theatre, and nightclubs. His extensive career in network television began with a notable role as the Cop on the popular sitcom "Laverne & Shirley," followed by a starring stint on his own NBC sitcom, "13 East," which aired for two successful seasons.
In addition to his television accomplishments, Powers is a highly accomplished jazz vocalist and recording artist, with a long history of performing at the top west coast nightclubs and jazz festivals. He has also released several critically acclaimed albums, including the 1993 CD "Plain Old Me" with his band "Hoi Polloi." After a 25-year hiatus, Powers returned to the recording studio in 2018 to create his latest album, "If Love Were All," featuring his top jazz quartet.
Beyond his music career, Powers is a skilled national voice-over artist, with a diverse range of credits including animation, television commercials, and radio advertising. His notable voice-over work includes the popular "Budman" commercial for Budweiser and the iconic "Wayne" character, the original talking Windex bird, which he voiced for 15 years.

For over five years, he has been a frequent Guest Host and Special Programming Host on Charlotte's 50,000-watt heritage station, News Talk 1110 WBT.
