Wayne Hackett, a multi-talented individual, has had a distinguished career in the entertainment industry. He is the recipient of a 2003 Gold World Medal from the New York Film Festival for his work on "Animal Kidding," a family program that he directed and coordinated produced.
Hackett's directorial debut, "Sensitive Johnson," won a Gold Medal at the Park City Film Festival and was an official selection at the Dances with Wolves Film Festival in Los Angeles. His work on the series "Baby Story" for The Learning Channel earned him an Emmy award.
On stage, Hackett has worked with numerous artists, including Leslie Gore, Ben E. King, The Coasters, Del Shannon, and the Marvelettes, as part of "Bowsers' Rockin' Roll Party." He has also directed "Wartime Romance," a Broadway musical that is set to tour, and is currently in pre-production on his next film, "Eradicator."
Hackett's first effort, "Straight to the Heart," was a successful syndicated strip series distributed by MGM/UA. He has also launched his professional career in front of the camera, appearing in commercials and co-starring in films such as "Vice Squad" for Embassy Pictures.
Behind the camera, Hackett has produced and directed for various network shows, including "Spy TV" and "Friday Night" for NBC, "Circus of the Stars" for CBS, "Too Good to Be True" for NBC Prime Time Special, and "Totally Hidden Video" for Fox TV. He has also directed docu-dramas for "Real Stories of the Highway Patrol" and "Lifeguard," a pilot for syndication.
In addition to his work in television and film, Hackett has directed comedy shows, including "Make Your Move" for Aaron Spelling, and has worked with professional comedians such as Whoopi Goldberg, Tim Conway, and others.

Before his TV and film career, Hackett was a professional musician and still plays the drums. He is married and enjoys his home, koi pond, and fruit orchard. He also has a 100-acre ranch in West Virginia.
