Viviana Verveen, a talented actress of Irish and Dutch descent, was born and raised in Ireland, where she currently resides. Her mother is Irish, while her father hails from Holland. Notably, Viviana is the younger sister of actor Arie Verveen, who has appeared in notable films such as Sin City, Cabin Fever, and The Thin Red Line.
Like her brother, Viviana has pursued a career in the film, television, and theatre industries. Her on-screen debut was a lead role in the short film "Daddy's Girl," opposite Clive Russell, which screened at the National Film Theatre in London. This was followed by her critically acclaimed performance in the movie "Crush Proof" (1999),directed by Paul Tickell, which has since become a European cult classic.
Viviana's subsequent appearances include the film "Karaoke" (1996),starring Albert Finney and written by renowned English playwright Dennis Potter, as well as the feature film "Headrush" (2004),alongside Huey Morgan of the band The Fun Lovin' Criminals.
In addition to her film work, Viviana has a strong passion for theatre. She has performed on the fringe circuit, starring in productions such as "Fire-eater" at the Tristan Bates Theatre, "Mackerel Sky" at the Bush Theatre, "Decameron" at the Gate Theatre, and "Dusa, Fish, Stas & Vi" at the Etcetera Theatre.
Viviana has also taken to the main stages of the renowned Royal National Theatre in central London, appearing in "Peer Gynt," co-directed by Conall Morrison and Trevor Nunn, and at the Royal National Theatre Studio in "The Night Garden" and "New Works." In recent years, she has starred in several hometown productions in Dublin City, including "Down The Flats" at Mountjoy prison, the Crypt Theatre, and the New Theatre, "Talking With" at An Beal Bocht Dublin, "Give Us A Break" at the Crypt Theatre, and a tour of "You And Whose Army."
Furthermore, Viviana has directed drama workshops for adults with learning disabilities at the National Training And Development Institute in County Wicklow, Ireland, and for young children at the Wicklow School of Music And Drama.
