Vivian is a third-generation actor who embarked on her professional acting career by understudying esteemed actresses Mary Steenburgen and Ann Dowd in a production of George Bernard Shaw's Candida at the renowned Roundabout Theater.
Subsequently, she has appeared in numerous hit television shows, including Breaking Bad, Longmire, The Night Shift, Manhattan, Law & Order: SVU, and The Messengers.
Vivian has also ventured into the world of short films, with her original work Leverage being an official selection at the prestigious Taos Shortz and NMWIF Film Fiesta, where she received an award for Best Performance.
Her original solo play, The Bark & The Tree, premiered at Off-Broadway's United Solo Festival, where she won two awards for her outstanding work on Theatre Row in NYC and the Los Angeles Women's Theater Festival.
In addition to her extensive acting credits, Vivian holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting and has continued her studies under the guidance of renowned luminaries such as Anna Deavere Smith and Alan Arkin.
Furthermore, Vivian tours nationally with Si Kahn's Mother Jones In Heaven, a musical one-woman show that celebrates the life and legacy of the legendary labor organizer Mary Harris "Mother" Jones.
Lastly, public radio enthusiasts may recognize Vivian's voice as the co-host of the nationally syndicated public radio program Art of the Song Creativity Radio, which she shares with her husband John Dillon.
