Born in Leningrad, USSR, now known as St. Petersburg, Russia, the actor took an unconventional path to his craft. Initially, he pursued a degree in astronomy at Leningrad State University, where he spent four years honing his knowledge of the celestial bodies. However, it seems that his true calling lay elsewhere, as he later enrolled in the State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography, and after four years of intense training, he graduated with a degree in acting.
