Vincent Bogert, a remarkable individual, was born on July 27th, 1914, in the vibrant city of Manhattan, New York. From a young age, he demonstrated a passion for writing, which would eventually lead him to a career in the captivating world of radio.

Bogert's early writing endeavors were a collaborative effort with his close friend, Lawrence Marks, who would later become the head writer of the renowned television series M*A*S*H. Together, they penned their first published radio program, titled "The Waterboy". This initial success paved the way for Bogert's first full-time writing position on the popular radio show "Duffy's Tavern".

In his personal life, Bogert was married to Marie Florence Cowan, with whom he had two children: Betsy Content Bogert and Vincent Lawrence "Buzz" Bogert. Throughout his illustrious career, Bogert contributed to a wide range of notable projects, including "The Colgate Comedy Hour", "The Ed Wynn Show", "The Phil Silvers Show", "Man Against Crime", and "The Garry Moore Show", for which he served as head writer for an impressive 15 years.

Bogert's impressive resume also includes writing credits for iconic television shows such as "The Lucy Show", with his episode "Lucy and the Aladdin's Lamp", and "All in the Family", with his episode "Archie is Branded", which unfortunately marked his final contribution before his passing.
