Biography

Veronica Tennant, a renowned and accomplished Prima Ballerina, had a remarkable 25-year tenure as Principal Dancer with The National Ballet of Canada, during which time she had the privilege of partnering with some of the most esteemed dancers in the world, including Erik Bruhn, Rudolf Nureyev, and Mikhail Baryshnikov.

In addition to her illustrious stage career, Tennant has also demonstrated her exceptional talent as a filmmaker, earning numerous accolades for her work, including the prestigious International Emmy Award for her documentary "Karen Kain: Dancing in the Moment".

Tennant's versatility extends beyond the stage and screen, as she has also worked as a Movement Director on various projects, including the acclaimed production "Penelopiad" based on the work of Margaret Atwood. Her written contributions can be found in publications such as "On Stage, Please" and "The Nutcracker".

Furthermore, Tennant has created several original screen productions, including collaborations with the celebrated author Michael Ondaatje, and has also developed a commissioned multi-media stage-show, "NIÁGARA~ A Pan-American Story", which premiered during the TO2015 event.
