Biography

Vaughn Juares, a 6th generation Californian, is a pioneering entrepreneur with a profound background in digital product development, customer acquisition, content marketing, and innovation at the intersection of entertainment and technology. He is the founder and managing partner of MuviNow and FilmDemic, two media and technology companies with a global presence in the US and Australia. With a deep passion for problem-solving, Vaughn is an inventor at heart, and has developed multiple patent applications for marketing, rights management, social media content technologies, algorithms for content recommendation, and syndication of media content.

Throughout his career, Vaughn has been driven by his ability to see problems and solutions in ways others often do not. He has successfully turned around, marketed, and globalized various video-on-demand (VOD) platforms, including the launch of Stuff Pix in New Zealand and MuviNow in Australia, the Philippines, and Indonesia. As the leader of an international team, Vaughn was responsible for the hands-on development and deployment of the MuviNow product through tel-co partners such as Globe Telecom and Telkom Indonesia.

Vaughn's early ventures include the creation of viral videos, including the "Jesus Christ Action Figure" spec commercial, which received over 4 million hits per month in 2003, all before the rise of YouTube. He also developed pilots for episodic content for exclusive distribution on early mobile phones, known as "mobisodes," for Tony To, co-executive producer of HBO's "Band of Brothers." Additionally, Vaughn wrote and produced short film content for Microsoft's entertainment division, as well as a catalog of short films for Dunkin Donuts with the NFL, NBA, and Major League Baseball.

In 1999, Vaughn co-founded SER International Corp., a Spanish-language media agency, which worked with prominent clients such as Sony Music, Univision Music Group, EMI Latin, Fonovisa Records, and others. During his tenure at SER, Vaughn was responsible for the creative execution of several high-profile projects, including Pilar Montenegro's number one Billboard Chart hit "Quitame Ese Hombre," which holds a Billboard honor as one of the longest-lasting number one tracks. He also worked on Jennifer Peña's "Vamos Al Mundial," the official song of the FIFA World Cup written by Rudy Pérez.
