Val, the fourth child of renowned Filipino character actor Augusto Victa and Connie M. Miranda, credits his father as his greatest acting influence and mentor. Augusto Victa trained Val in various provincial and region-wide Declamation & Oratorical contests since the tender age of seven, a practice that Val continued to excel in throughout his elementary and high school years, ultimately becoming the Provincial Champion.
Val's first significant break in the acting world came with a mainstay role in the popular Filipino soap-opera "Annaliza", where he played the character "Ronnie" for an impressive eight years. This led to widespread recognition throughout the country, and he was soon nominated as Best Supporting Actor in the 1995 Metro Manila Film Festival for his role in the movie "Huwag mo'ng isuko ang laban!", where Val portrayed the character "Mr. Cheng".
Internationally, Val made his debut in the 6-hour HBO mini-series "A Dangerous Life" (1987),while also establishing himself as a talented radio drama performer. He received outstanding reviews for his portrayal of "Jim" in the Chancel Repertory play "Snapshots and Portraits" (1998).
In the Philippines, Val is most famously known for his role as "Atty. Fidel Dioquino" in the top-rating TV series "Valiente", which aired for six years from 1990 to 1996. Val's impressive career spanned decades, with his last known residence being in Los Angeles, where he migrated in May 2014.
