Ukweli Roach, a talented individual, entered this world in 1986. Raised in Woolwich, England, by an English mother and a Guyanese father, his name, 'Truth', is of Swahili origin. Initially, he had planned to pursue a law course at university, but instead, he opted for the esteemed Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, where he graduated in 2009.
As a young boy, Ukweli was captivated by the world of dance, particularly drawn to the renowned American dance duo, the Nicholas Brothers. Over time, he developed his own impressive street dancing skills, becoming the Artistic Director of the dance company Birdgang. His talents were showcased in various settings, including the Blaze International hip-hop dance show and pop videos featuring notable artists such as Mariah Carey and Kylie Minogue.
Ukweli's passion for dance was also reflected in his cinematic endeavors, with a notable role in the 2010 film StreetDance 3D. However, it was his breakout television performance as Tom Greening, a lawyer with a unique twist – he is also an angel – in the drama series Eternal Law (2012),that brought him widespread recognition.
