Biography

Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, also recognized as Turki al-Faisal, is a prominent Saudi politician and diplomat, hailing from the esteemed House of Saud. He currently holds the position of chairman at the King Faisal Foundation's Center for Research and Islamic Studies, a prestigious organization dedicated to advancing knowledge and understanding of Islamic studies.

Prior to his current role, Prince Turki served as the director general of Al Mukhabarat Al 'Ammah, Saudi Arabia's intelligence agency, from 1977 to 2001. He relinquished his position on September 1, 2001, approximately ten days before the devastating September 11 attacks, which saw 14 Saudi nationals hijack commercial American airliners, resulting in catastrophic consequences.

Following his resignation, Prince Turki went on to serve as the ambassador to the Court of St. James's and the United States, further solidifying his reputation as a skilled diplomat and statesman.
