Tristan's connection to cinema is deeply personal, serving as a driving force and a defining purpose in his life. For him, the art of filmmaking is a vital source of motivation, and he has dedicated himself to mastering the craft.
Born in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, Tristan immigrated to Quebec in 1984. This move marked the beginning of a new chapter in his life, one that would be filled with artistic expression and creative pursuit.
After completing his Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies, Tristan decided to expand his skills by studying acting at the Montreal Academy of Dramatic Arts. He graduated in 2000, equipped with a newfound understanding of the acting process and a deeper appreciation for the art of storytelling.
In 2005, Tristan was selected to attend the prestigious American Film Institute Conservatory in Hollywood, where he had the opportunity to learn from some of the industry's most renowned directors, including Bertrand Tavernier, Cédric Klapish, and Janusz Kaminski.
Upon his return to Quebec, Tristan threw himself into his work, directing a range of projects including feature films, short films, music videos, commercials, and video games. His first film as an auteur, The Fall Of Sparta, won the grand prize for best youth feature film in the Czech Republic and was nominated for four awards at the "Prix Iris" in Quebec.
