Tonya embarked on a professional theatre career prior to mastering the art of driving, a feat she accomplished at the tender age of twelve. Her breakout role as Felix Unger in The Odd Couple was a notable performance that undoubtedly left a lasting impression, followed by her captivating portrayal of Stout in The Wind and The Willows, where she showcased her impressive skills as a trained dancer.

Subsequently, Tonya transitioned to the bright lights of New York City, where she performed extensively on and off Broadway.
