Tony Miller

As a young teenager, he embarked on his acting career in 1941 on the esteemed Broadway stage. Concurrently, he also began to make a name for himself in the world of live television and New York radio, showcasing his impressive range and versatility as a performer. In 1955, he made the pivotal decision to relocate to Los Angeles, seeking new opportunities in the rapidly evolving world of motion pictures. In addition to his acting pursuits, Miller also exercised his creative muscles as a writer, penning screenplays, radio and television scripts, as well as novels such as "Starting Now" and "Night Calls". Furthermore, he co-founded the Film Industry Workshops with his former wife, Patricia George, in 1962. This notable endeavor not only provided a platform for industry professionals to hone their craft but also served as a testament to the couple's shared passion for the art of filmmaking. In tandem with his work in the film industry, Miller co-authored a comprehensive textbook, "The Craft", as well as a glossary of film terms, "Cut-Print", solidifying his reputation as a knowledgeable and innovative force in the world of cinema.
