Tony Bracy is a renowned writer, producer, and director from South Central Los Angeles, whose creative spirit and imagination were not confined by the challenges of growing up in an underprivileged community.
He began writing his first musical play in the eighth grade, igniting a passion that has yet to fade over the past forty years.
Tony has dedicated countless hours to mentoring and inspiring young artists, working as a resident stage manager at Amazing Grace Conservatory, a youth performing arts school in South Central, for twenty years.
He has also donated his talents to The South Bay Conservatory, Color Your Dream Academy, and the Institute of Young Black Leadership.
In 2020, Tony founded Brace Yourself, Inc., a non-profit media arts company that pairs young artists with experienced professionals to bring their visions to life.
Tony's goal is to create works that educate, entertain, and uplift people, touching their souls and spirits.
Brace Yourself! films have won awards at national and international film festivals and have been featured in college and university courses, as well as national and worldwide television broadcasts.
Tony's life's purpose was revealed to him in a moment of clarity in 1990, and since then, he has risen from the ashes to become an accomplished writer and a shining example of what purpose, faith, and love can achieve.
Writing is not just what Tony does, it is who he is, and he always says, "I write when no one is watching, when no one is reading, and when no one is paying. Writing is the expression of my purpose, polished through years of transforming an overactive imagination into stories and messages that provoke thought into action."
Tony's mission is to bridge the gap between what was, what is, and what can be, and his career has demonstrated his ability to successfully plan, execute, and complete projects and media campaigns with creativity, attention to detail, and a focus on synergy across teams, departments, and platforms.

Tony has hosted UCLA's Graduation Ceremony, performed stand-up comedy on national television, and is winning awards as a screenwriter and filmmaker, proving his expertise in storytelling, in all its forms.
