Initially, Turner majored in Political Communication at The Ohio State University, where he gained recognition as an editor for the Vibe Magazine spin-off Blaze. During his tenure, he played a key role in the glossy's record-breaking debut.
Under the moniker "Tone Boots," Turner wrote humorous columns, entertainment reviews, and in-depth cover stories, featuring prominent figures in hip-hop. His expertise in pop culture led to consulting gigs with notable entities, including NFL Properties, Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, and UBO.net.
