Tom's life journey began 30 miles north of Boston, in the charming coastal town of Manchester, Massachusetts. Despite a loving family, proper upbringing, and a good education, Tom made the unconventional decision to pursue a career in acting at a young age. This bold move did not go unnoticed, and after three defibrillator charges, his parents eventually threw their support behind him, marking the start of his remarkable journey.
Tom's academic path took him to schools in New Hampshire, San Diego, and England, ultimately leading him to the University of Southern California's esteemed acting program. During his junior year, he landed his first professional role as Whit Champion on the NBC drama series "The Yellow Rose".
Following college, Tom continued to hone his craft by studying with some of the most renowned acting coaches in the industry, including Vince Chase, Stella Adler, Winn Handman, and Roy London. His body of work expanded to include a diverse range of projects, such as the television movie "The Alamo - Thirteen Days To Glory" alongside Alec Baldwin, the starring role in "The Return of the Six Million Dollar Man", and appearances on popular shows like "Fame", "Dynasty", "Melrose Place", and "Lonesome Dove".
Tom's filmography boasts a wide range of feature films, including "Fever Pitch" directed by Richard Brooks, "Red Rock West", "Courage Under Fire" starring Denzel Washington, and "Conspiracy Theory" starring Mel Gibson, among others.
In addition to his work in film and television, Tom has also made a name for himself in the theater world, with notable roles in the award-winning "Getting Out" at the Cast Theatre, "The Wager" at the Colony Theatre, and as Mark Antony in the critically acclaimed LA Shakespeare Festival production of "Julius Caesar". He has also spent eight years as a member of the comedy improv troop WITHOUT A NET.
The new millennium brought a new era of creativity for Tom, as he transitioned into a "multi-hyphenate" role, writing and executive-producing the feature film "The Hard Easy" alongside friend and actor Jon Lindstrom. Their second script, "Head High", is currently the subject of a bidding war at two major studios. Tom has a number of solo projects in the pipeline, including the un-romantic feature film comedy "Dating Tammy" and the TV pilot "Tee Time".
Throughout his career, Tom has continued to prioritize his passion for acting, with recent roles on shows like "Dexter", "Criminal Minds", "Without a Trace", "The CSI'S", and "The Forgotten". He currently resides beachside in Santa Monica, California, and is eagerly anticipating what the future holds.
