Tom has had a prolific career in the entertainment industry, with writing and directing credits for numerous notable projects. His work includes Saturday Night Live, The Adventures of Tenacious D, Human Giant, The Awful Truth, and Mr. Show with Bob and David, among others. He is currently involved in several projects, including the Comedy Central series Pretend Time and the FX pilot Them's My Peeps, which he is writing and directing alongside Bob Odenkirk.
In addition to his work in television, Tom has also ventured into film, co-writing the screenplay for Strippers and Babies with Sarah Silverman, which has been optioned. Furthermore, he is working on an adult puppet show for the Henson Company, marking a new and exciting venture in his career.
Before transitioning to television and film, Tom started his career at the Second City Comedy Theater in Chicago, where he directed the critically acclaimed production "Pinate Full of Bees", which he later re-staged at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
Tom's passion for directing has led him to occasionally return to the theater, where he has worked on several notable productions. These include directing the premiere of Sarah Silverman's show "Jesus is Magic" at the Public Theater in New York, Bob Odenkirk's "Half My Face is a Clown" in Chicago, and Michael Moore's production in London's West End.
