Biography

Todd Allen is a multifaceted individual who wears many hats as an actor, writer, and producer. His directorial debut is eagerly anticipated with the feature film Six Mile Creek, a poignant story about a veteran struggling with PTSD who must confront his inner demons to save the lives of a woman and her teenage daughter.

As a serial entrepreneur, Allen has founded three companies, including Virtuosity Media, a production company dedicated to creating films and television shows that celebrate the human spirit and promote unity. He has also established an alternative energy company and a Veterans Treatment and Housing Initiative in collaboration with the Department of Defense and the Veterans Administration, aiming to eradicate homelessness, PTSD, and suicide among veterans.

Throughout his career, Allen has appeared in nearly 70 film and television productions, including his recent work on Kevin Costner's epic Horizon: An American Saga, parts 1 and 2, marking the fifth time he has collaborated with the renowned actor. He is also set to appear in parts 3 and 4 of the project. Previously, Allen worked with Kevin Costner on three films and with Robert Duvall on The Apostle (1997) and Broken Trail (2006),earning praise for his portrayal of territorial Marshal Bill Miller.

Via his independent production company, Virtuosity Media, Allen has planned a diverse range of film and television projects, including 14 feature films, 11 television shows, two documentaries, and several alternative television projects. Some of his notable projects include the epic television series Sarita, a true story about a girl's journey to track down her brother's killers on the Texas-Mexico border during the 1920s Prohibition era; The Tournament, a UFC-centered television series; and Challenge at Crown Valley, a spaghetti western reboot to be shot on location in Almeria, Spain. Other projects include the gritty western The Deserters, the romantic thriller Suicide Grip, and more.

Allen maintains residences in Los Angeles and his hometown of Austin, Texas, where he lives with his wife and youngest child, Shelby Allen, who works in development for Virtuosity Motion Pictures and Virtuosity Television, and is pursuing a career in media, sports entertainment, and sports management. Shelby will attend the University of Texas in 2024, becoming the 10th member of the Allen family to do so.
