Tobias Stille's impressive journey in the film industry began at the tender age of 23, when he penned his first screenplay for the esteemed young director Anno Saul, to be produced by ZDF.
Following his graduation from Munich University, Stille became the first trainee in creative producing at the renowned Berlin-based UFA Productions, playing a pivotal role in transforming this traditional production company into a modern force to be reckoned with in both television and film.
His early success saw him producing critically acclaimed TV movies that went on to win prestigious Grimme awards, simultaneously launching his career as a writer-director. Since then, Stille has been writing, producing, and directing his own unique stories for both the small and big screens.
One of his most notable recent works is the kaleidoscopic film "Crossover", which tells the poignant story of refugees fleeing Nazi Germany and finding solace in democratic Germany today, as Stille attempts to establish a new paradigm of fantastic realism in German filmmaking.
Since 2019, Stille has dedicated himself to creative producing for various German production companies, resulting in notable successes such as "Das Wunder von Kapstadt", starring the talented Sonja Gerhardt, Alexander Scheer, and Fritz Karl, which won the esteemed "Hamburger Produzentenpreis". His latest project, "Sterben für Beginner", starring Edin Hasanovic, Max Hubacher, and Svenja Jung, was completed in 2023 for ZDF.
