Tim Sullivan, a renowned filmmaker, relocated to Los Angeles, where he began his career in development at New Line Cinema, collaborating with Gene Simmons of KISS and Michael De Luca, current Warner Brothers Chairperson and former classmate, as co-producer of the 1999 film Detroit Rock City.
Sullivan's directorial debut in the mainstream horror-comedy genre was the well-received 2005 film 2001 Maniacs, produced by Eli Roth. This was followed by a string of successful films, including Driftwood (2006),2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams (2010),and Chillerama (2011).
Notably, Sullivan gained recognition as the celebrity director of Vh1's hit series Scream Queens, handpicked by James Gunn to succeed him. Under his own production banner, New Rebellion Entertainment, Sullivan will produce the psychological thriller Lullaby, set to be directed by M.J. Bassett.
Prior to his current endeavors, Sullivan was married to Tania Landau, head of Originals Film. Notably, De Luca, current Universal president, and Donna Langley, current Universal president, served as best man and maid of honor, respectively, at their wedding.
