Tim Hodge's journey in the world of animation began when he stumbled upon his father's 8mm camera in the 7th grade, sparking a summer of creative expression as he crafted animated films using a variety of unconventional materials, including clay, sticks, and other found objects. His live-action films often featured his younger sisters as the stars.
After attending Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tim landed his first job in animation at the now-defunct Willming-Reams Animation studio in San Antonio, Texas, where he spent seven years drawing animated television commercials. Concurrently, he pursued further art education at the San Antonio Art Institute.
As his career progressed, Tim applied to Disney Feature Animation, relocating to Illinois in the year 2000 to join the studios of Big Idea Productions and transition into computer animation. His directorial debut, "Lyle the Kindly Viking," premiered in 2001 and went on to win the Best Direct-To-Video Animated Release award at the World Animation Celebration.
Tim's notable achievements also include a nomination for Best Vocal Performance in 2003 for his role as Khalil in "Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie." Today, he resides in Franklin, Tennessee, with his family, continuing to write and direct for Big Idea Productions.
