Biography

Person Biography:

Tim Griffin, also known as "the actor who is in everything," is a Chicago native who has made a name for himself in Hollywood as one of the nicest, most charming, and versatile actors. Born to a pediatric cardiologist, Griffin discovered his passion for acting after being cast as Oliver Twist in a school production of the musical "Oliver!" He went on to star in numerous theatrical productions and local movies and commercials.

After graduating from Francis Parker High School, Griffin attended the University of Vermont, where he earned a double major in political philosophy and English literature. He performed as a regular member of the UVM Players, playing roles such as Claudio in "Much Ado About Nothing" and Riff in "West Side Story."

Griffin's big break came when he was cast in the TV movie "Taking A Stand," which won a Daytime Emmy for "Outstanding Children's Special." He then moved to Hollywood, enrolling in classes at UCLA and signing with Writers and Artists. He quickly landed roles in high-profile TV shows and movies of the week, including "China Beach," "In The Heat of the Night," and "For The Very First Time."

Despite the advice of his agents, Griffin chose to return to the University of Vermont to finish his degree. He considered attending graduate school for political philosophy, but his academic mentor convinced him to return to the West Coast and continue his acting career.

Griffin's reputation as a multi-talented actor continued to grow, with recurring roles on "General Hospital," "Against The Grain," and "Party of Five." He made his feature film debut in John Singleton's "Higher Learning" and went on to appear in films such as "The Bourne Supremacy," "Iron Man," and "Cloverfield."

Griffin has also worked with directors such as J.J. Abrams, Jon Favreau, and George Clooney, starring in films like "Star Trek," "Super 8," "Leatherheads," and "The Men Who Stare at Goats." He earned critical praise for his work in Doug Liman's "Fair Game" and has appeared in numerous high-profile projects in recent years.

In addition to his film and television work, Griffin has had numerous commercial campaigns and television spots. He lives with his wife and two children in L.A. and is a proud Irish-American and devoted Chicago Cubs fan.
