Tilda Cobham-Hervey was born on September 4, 1994, in Adelaide, South Australia. From the age of nine, she trained and performed in the Adelaide-based youth circus performance troupe Cirkidz for seven years, honing her skills in hula hoop, trapeze, and acrobatic pitching.
Tilda attended Marryatville High School and was a founding member of the Adelaide circus group Gravity and Other Myths, where she co-devised the award-winning show Freefall. She also performed with Force Majeure in The Age I'm In, a show that toured to 17 regional cities in Australia, as well as Ireland, Canada, and Korea.
In 2014, Tilda made her film debut in the critically acclaimed independent film 52 Tuesdays, directed by Sophie Hyde. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and Tilda was signed by Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and United Management.
Tilda's subsequent film roles include One Eyed Girl, where she played a supporting role, and the television commercial for the re-launch of the Myer brand, "Find Wonderful". She also appeared in the play Things I Know To Be True, written by Andrew Bovell.
In 2017, Tilda played the role of Kitty in the six-part TV series F*%#Ing Adelaide, which premiered at the Adelaide Film Festival and screened on ABC national television. She also made her directorial debut with the short film A Field Guide to Being a 12-Year-Old Girl, which premiered at the Adelaide Film Festival and won the prestigious Crystal Bear for Best Short Film at the Berlin International Film Festival.
Tilda's more recent film roles include Hotel Mumbai and I Am Woman, a biopic about feminist icon Helen Reddy. In 2021, she devised and premiered an interactive theatre piece entitled Two Strangers Walk into a Bar, which was performed at the Adelaide Fringe and later at MOD., a futuristic museum of discovery.
