Biography

Tiffany Sara Cornilia Haddish, a renowned American stand-up comedian and actress, has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry. She was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine in 2018, and The Hollywood Reporter listed her among the 100 most powerful people in entertainment in both 2018 and 2019.

Before gaining widespread recognition, Haddish made guest appearances on several television series. However, her breakthrough role came when she played Nekeisha Williams on the NBC sitcom The Carmichael Show from 2015 to 2017. This role paved the way for her to star in the comedy film Girls Trip in 2017, which earned her numerous accolades, including nominations for two Critics' Choice Awards. In 2021, Haddish's performance in Girls Trip was included on The New Yorker's list of the best film performances of the 21st century.

Haddish's impressive career has also seen her win a Primetime Emmy Award for hosting a Saturday Night Live episode in 2017 and publish a memoir, The Last Black Unicorn, in the same year. She has also made a name for herself in television, starring in the TBS series The Last O.G. from 2018 to 2020 and executive producing and voicing Tuca in the Netflix/Adult Swim animated series Tuca & Bertie, which premiered in 2019 and is ongoing.

In addition to her work in television, Haddish has also explored music, releasing the album Black Mitzvah in 2019, for which she won the Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album. This achievement made her the second African-American woman to win this prize after Whoopi Goldberg in 1986. In 2022, Haddish joined the main cast of the crime comedy series The Afterparty and is set to reprise her role in the show's second season.
