Born in Vancouver, Canada, Tiera comes from a Scandinavian background, with many of her extended family members residing in Sweden and Denmark. She began her acting career at the tender age of seven, when she was spotted by an agent at the Children's Festival in Vancouver. At 13, Tiera was scouted by an international modeling agency and went on to model for various designers and campaigns, taking her to Asia and Europe. She has been featured in Hello Canada's magazine as "One of Canada's most beautiful" in 2017 and 2018, and was included in The Hollywood Reporter's list of "Crop of Emerging Young Talent" in 2019.
