Thomas Stuber, a native of Leipzig, entered the world in 1981. Prior to embarking on his professional journey, he completed a series of internships and assistantships within the film industry. Starting in 2002, Stuber worked on various film and television productions, assuming the roles of script/continuity supervisor and director's assistant.
From 2004 to 2011, Stuber pursued his passion for stage direction at the renowned Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. During his academic tenure, he garnered numerous accolades for his short films, including 'Es geht uns gut' ('We're fine', 2006) and 'Teenage Angst' (2008). The latter film received an invitation to screen at the prestigious Berlin International Film Festival in 2008.
Stuber's graduating film, 'Of Dogs and Horses' (2011),earned him the Student Oscar® in Silver as well as the German Short Film Award. In subsequent years, Stuber collaborated with Clemens Meyer, earning a nomination for the German Screenplay Award for their work on 'A Heavy Heart' in 2014. They ultimately received the award for 'In den Gängen' ('In the Aisles') in 2015.
