Thom Williams, a man of diverse heritage, was born on November 16th, 1973, in the Midwestern town of Denton, Texas, where he grew up as a single child. His mother's Lebanese roots and father's European background have significantly influenced his life.
As a young athlete, Thom was passionate about football, playing the sport for most of his life until a knee injury during his senior year of high school forced him to retire from the game. However, his natural athletic ability led him to transition into NCAA collegiate cheerleading and gymnastics, where he won a national championship at the University of North Texas from 1992 to 1996.
Thom's experience in gymnastics and cheerleading paved the way for a summer job as a bad guy in the "Batman Stunt Show" at 6 Flags Over Texas in the summer of 1996. This marked the beginning of his journey in the entertainment industry, and the following summer, he moved to Hollywood to start his career as a stuntman for film and television.
With his SAG card secured as a guest star on the TV show "The Journeys of Allen Strange," Thom made a name for himself as the "big guy who could move" by learning and applying his physical prowess to various fighting styles and reactions. His Lebanese and Irish heritage allowed him to play a range of bad guys, while his background in gymnastics enabled him to keep up with faster fighters on screen.
Throughout his career, Thom has stunt doubled for numerous prominent actors, including Greg Grunberg, Jorge Garcia, Eric Stonestreet, and Ethan Suplee, to name a few. He has also had the opportunity to fight his action idol, Jackie Chan, on both the big and small screens.
After accumulating hundreds of credits and experiencing the highs and lows of the industry, Thom has transitioned into the competitive field of stunt coordinating and 2nd unit directing. This shift has allowed him to be part of the creative process from day one, working towards his ultimate goal of becoming a Hollywood director.
Despite his professional success, Thom's greatest accomplishments are his marriage to his wonderful wife, Michelle, and the raising of their three beautiful children together.
