Theresa Ring's journey to fame began in 1984 when she participated in the Miss USA pageant, proudly representing both her hometown of San Diego and her home state of California. This initial exposure led to a string of appearances in the Mexican action film New Drug City, showcasing her versatility as an actress.
Following her foray into the world of Mexican cinema, Ring made a name for herself on American television by serving as a prize model on popular game shows such as Strike It Rich and Card Sharks. In 1987, she further solidified her status as a rising star by appearing on the talent competition show Star Search, hosted by the legendary Ed McMahon.
After her stint on Star Search, Ring decided to pursue both modeling and acting, securing roles in feature films like 1988's Dangerous Curves and making guest appearances on various television shows, including Freddy's Nightmares, Empty Next, and Quantum Leap.
