Terria Joseph, born Teresa M. Augello, commenced her life journey in Detroit, Michigan, prior to relocating to Toledo, Ohio, at the tender age of six. Following her tenure at the University of Toledo, which lasted for a single year, she made the bold decision to uproot herself and move to New York City to pursue higher education at the prestigious School of the Arts, now rebranded as Tisch, at New York University. Joseph's academic endeavors culminated in her graduation in 1971.
Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to tread the boards of various stages, in addition to appearing in independent films and television projects within the New York metropolitan area. Her father, Joseph L. Augello, affectionately known as "Little Joe," was a multifaceted individual who held positions as both a disc jockey and news director at WOHO radio station, and concurrently, he played the role of an actor on the iconic radio series "Lone Ranger" and "Green Hornet" during his time in Detroit.
It is worth noting that Terria Joseph is the proud mother of renowned singer-songwriter Alicia Keys. Furthermore, she is a respected member of the Screen Actors Guild and the Actors Equity Association, maintaining a strong commitment to her professional affiliations.
