Biography

Ted Friend's life began in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, in the midst of summer, specifically in July 1949. Despite the allure of new horizons, he chose to remain on Vancouver Island, even after his departure from the University of Victoria, where he had initially started his journey in broadcasting at CFAX Radio.

In 1976, Ted took the bold step of establishing his own freelance film and video production company, which quickly gained recognition and attracted a diverse clientele from both Canada and the United States. His esteemed clients included the Government of Canada, Air Canada, and the renowned Walt Disney.

As a broadcast entrepreneur, Ted's career trajectory soon shifted from radio to television in 1985, with VU13, which later transformed into Canwest Global, serving as his new broadcasting platform.

Throughout his illustrious career, Ted has worn multiple hats, effortlessly transitioning between roles as a writer, producer, director, narrator, and animation voiceover talent since 1975. His extensive experience has enabled him to excel in all forms of film and video programming.

Today, Ted resides in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and continues to remain actively involved in the film industry, seizing opportunities as they arise.
