Biography

Ted Ferguson is an American actor with a diverse international background, having grown up in Shreveport's Mooretown, Louisiana's most deadly zip code. With 40 years of broadcasting experience in various cities, including Los Angeles, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Paris, New Zealand, and more, Ted decided to transition to a career in film, television, and commercials after retiring from radio at the age of 50 in 1999.

Despite flunking out of Louisiana State University (LSU) in 1968 during the Vietnam War, Ted returned to LSU at the age of 57 in 2005 to fulfill a commitment and get off scholastic probation. He also holds degrees from The Sorbonne in Paris, UCLA Westwood, Victoria University Wellington, NZ, and LSUS.

Ted's extensive experience includes being a missionary in the Congo during the war, building a Christian radio station for the Church of Christ, and teaching English at a seminary in Vera Cruz, Southern Mexico.

Ted's acting career began in 2005 with an extra role in the film "Blonde Ambition," which turned into a principal role. He was one of four Norwegian priests in the film and was able to impress the director by speaking Norwegian, which he learned through the Norwegian Embassy in New York.

Ted is fluent in French and proficient in German, having lived in Berlin when the wall came down, and Spanish. He has had a wide range of roles, including a starring series regular role in "Tropical Cops Tales" on Adult Swim, a mad scientist in DC Comics' "Doom Patrol," a preacher on AMC's "Preacher," an astronaut in "Astronaut Wives Club" on ABC, a crooked judge on "NCIS New Orleans," a grandfather in "Logan" with Hugh Jackman, a doctor on "If Loving You is Wrong" by Tyler Perry, a maître d' working with Helen Mirren in "Trumbo," and two guest star skits on the "Jimmy Kimmel Show."

Ted has also worked with Chuck Lorre Productions on the HBO Max series "Bookie," MGM on the feature film "Bottoms," Entertainment Legendary on "Brothers," and in the Halloween feature film "Carved."
