Next person biography:
Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, I've always been fascinated by the world of acting. As a child, watching actors perform on TV and stage sparked a passion within me, which only grew stronger as I grew older. I pursued my dream by attending a 4-year theater college at Anhembi Morumbi University and a 3-year acting course for TV and Cinema at Wolf Maya.
During my studies, I became a member of the theatre group Cia. Hojerizah, now known as Escola Artaud, where I volunteered as an actress and later became an acting coach. This experience led to numerous performances on stage and in short films, including the critically acclaimed short film "Julie" directed by Sergio Minehira, where I shared the lead role with Johnas Oliva.
My talent was soon recognized, and I won a scholarship to Fatima Toledo Studios, a renowned school founded by director and acting coach Fatima Toledo, known for her work on the famous film "Cidade de Deus" (City of God). I was awarded first place for my monologue performance of "4:48h Psicose" by Sarah Kane.
These opportunities allowed me to gain more experience and knowledge as an actress, ultimately leading to my selection in Margie Haber's acting program, where my life took a dramatic turn. Margie provided me with the chance to relocate to Los Angeles, where I had to learn English in just five months to participate in her workshop.
After completing the program, I decided to stay in Los Angeles to continue my acting career. Since then, I've booked roles in commercials, short and feature films, and theater groups like The Whitefire Theatre Company, where I was a member for three years.
I've also built connections with casting directors and taken classes at BGB Studios, where I met Caroline Liem, a casting director and associate from CSA, and later at Village Studios, where she continued to teach with other casting directors.
I've had the privilege of working on big sets, participating in film festivals, and being part of an independent film-making team called Rogue Division, which has won several awards in the 48 Hour Film Project. Some of the films I've appeared in include "The Perplexing Case of the Perfectly Planned Pool Party," "VestiCon 2019," "Corações em Fogo," and several short films created during the COVID-19 quarantine.
Currently, I'm an active voice-over actress at Voxx Studios, dubbing projects into Portuguese. My latest project on Netflix, "The Babysitters Club," saw me lending my voice to the role of Jessi Ramsey, played by Anais Lee, for the Brazilian premiere.
Through my perseverance and hard work, I've become an inspiration to friends, family, and everyone I've worked with in Brazil. I continue to share my experiences on social media, inspiring new actors to follow their dreams and pursue their passions.
