Tara Kleinpeter, a talented individual, was born in Nashville, Tennessee, to Tom and Ginger Sanford, and has a brother, T.R. Sanford. During her early years, her family relocated to Florida, where they resided until she reached her teenage years. Subsequently, they moved to Charleston, South Carolina, where she spent her formative years. Tara's academic pursuits led her to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the College of Charleston, while also studying Dramatic Arts alongside her degree coursework.
Her fascination with the workings of the heart drove her to further her education, and she went on to study Perfusion and Echocardiography at the Medical University of South Carolina. After completing her formal education, Tara continued to nurture her passion for the Dramatic Arts by studying at Tulane University, The Groundlings, under Laura Gardner at The Howard Fine Acting Studio, and with Donovan Hardwick in Los Angeles. Her thirst for knowledge has remained a significant aspect of her life, as she has recently studied with Los Angeles-based acting coach Louis Herthum and Tim Phillips at Celtic Studios.
Tara's dedication to her craft has yielded remarkable results, as she landed a lead role in the upcoming horror movie Night Claws (2012),starring Frank Stallone and Leilani Sarelle. This marks her largest part to date and her second speaking role in a SAG feature film, which she credits to writer David A. Prior for the role.
Tara's diverse studies have prepared her for a wide range of projects. She has appeared in television commercials, movies, shorts, and numerous feature films. Her recent works include "The Exile," The Dragon Warrior (2011) with Dominic Keating and James Russo, and "The Saints of Mt. Christopher" with Tom Sizemore and Clifton Powell. Moreover, she has produced several projects in which she has performed, including "Metamorphosis" with Nick Searcy and Patricia Bethune.
