Tannishtha Chatterjee is a renowned Indian actress, celebrated for her captivating performance in Sarah Gavron's "Brick Lane" (2007),a film adaptation of Monica Ali's highly acclaimed novel of the same name, which garnered her a nomination for Best Actress at the British Independent Film Awards.

Her impressive repertoire includes the portrayal of Masha in Florian Gallenberger's Academy Award-winning film "Shadows of Time" (also known as "Schatten der Zeit" in German),for which she received the Best Actress award at the 2006 Osian Film Festival and the 2007 BFJA Awards for her remarkable role in the film "Bibar".
