Takashi Doscher is an accomplished writer and director hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, with a distinctive style that has garnered him widespread recognition and acclaim in the film industry. His sophomore feature film, Only, boasts an impressive cast, featuring Freida Pinto, known for her roles in Slumdog Millionaire and Mowgli, alongside Tony-winning actor Leslie Odom Jr, renowned for his performances in Hamilton and Murder on the Orient Express. The film tells the poignant story of star-crossed lovers struggling to survive in a world where women are scarce.
Doscher's debut feature film, Still, is an atmospheric thriller set against the haunting backdrop of the Appalachian mountains, starring Madeline Brewer, known for her role in The Handmaid's Tale, alongside Nick Blood, a veteran of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Lydia Wilson, who has appeared in Netflix's Requiem. In addition to his work in film, Doscher has also made a name for himself in the realm of music documentary. The film tells the inspiring story of a quad-amputee's historic ascent of Mt. Kilimanjaro and went on to win an ESPY award in 2013.
