Faheem Najm, a talented individual, was born in Tallahassee, Florida, to parents Shaheed Najm and Aliyah Najm. During his formative years, Faheem was an integral part of the Tallahassee-based rap group Nappy Headz, a collective that undoubtedly influenced his artistic growth and helped shape his unique sound. In 2002, Faheem took the bold step of founding his own record label, Hard & B., a venture that would eventually attract the attention of the renowned singer Akon.
Akon, impressed by Faheem's remix of his hit single "Locked Up," took notice of the young artist's talent and signed him to his newly formed Konvict Music record label. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of Faheem's professional music career, paving the way for him to achieve widespread recognition and success under the stage name T-Pain.
