Todd Joseph Miller, a comedian with a multifaceted career, was born in Denver, Colorado, to Leslie, a clinical psychologist, and Kent Miller, an attorney. He attended East High School and later studied classical acting at B.A.D.A in Oxford, England, and circus arts at Frichess Theatre Urbain.
Miller honed his skills in improvisation, sketch, and stand-up comedy, performing with various groups, including receSs, Chuckle Sandwich, and the i.o. house team Bullet Lounge. He also toured with Second City for almost two years, missing over 15 flights to various cities.
Miller's television debut was on The Standard Deviants, a PBS show aimed at providing educational DVDs and programming for schools. He has also worked as a voiceover artist, lending his voice to various brands and feature films.
In 2011, Miller produced a 42-track E.P. entitled "The Extended Play E.P." with Comedy Central Records, a folk/pop/hip hop concept album that he describes as satirical. He later remixed the album with Illegal Art, enlisting the roster of artists on the label.
Miller has also appeared in films, including Yogi Bear 3D, and has done extensive charity work. He frequently cites his compulsive and almost pathologically driven work ethic as an altruistic effort to distract people from the tragedy that permeates everyday life.
As a comedian, Miller believes that his work is a contribution to society, as he can affect millions of people in small increments. He has publicly stated, "Comedians are the new philosophers" and believes that academic philosophers are no longer relevant.
